I’m Lara. So glad to meet you.

Originally launched in 2005 to record the little moments in my life, this blog allows me to share crafts, DIY and home decor projects, recipes, gardening and travel tips. I hope I can inspire others to cultivate and embrace their creativity.

I am a wife, mother of 2, sister, auntie, daughter, friend, animal lover (love my fur babies).  I am also a creative maker, artist, photographer, scrapbook/memory keeper and graphic designer. I was born in beautiful Hawaii on the island of Oahu and now live in Utah but I will forever be an island girl at heart.

I believe we all have a story to tell and our struggles are part of that journey. In 2017, my life was forever changed when my son Shawn unexpectedly passed away. After being his full time caretaker for more than 10 years, I am learning to breathe again and focus on who and what matters most to me. Now I know I can do hard things!

I was layout editor of my HS yearbook, and studied commercial art and graphic design in college.
I worked in the paper crafting industry from 2000-2012 and would love to find other creative opportunities.
